Kovancılar Vocational High School was established in Kovancılar District with the decision of the Council of Higher Education dated 22.06.2010 and numbered 3041-020955. Our Vocational School started its education and training in the 2010-2011 academic year by taking advantage of the existing capacity of the Kovancılar District Fatih Primary School building by admitting 70 students to the Computer Technologies Department - Computer Programming Program and the Management and Organization Department Business Management Program in 2010 - ÖSYS center placement. In the 2010-2011 academic year, land procurement work was carried out for the construction of the school building, and with the support of Kovancılar District Governorship and Kovancılar Municipality, a total of 94,000 m2 of land, 78000 m2 of which was for the school land and 16,000 m2 of which was for the dormitory construction, was allocated on behalf of Fırat University Kovancılar Vocational School. has been made. On this land, a building with a closed area of 6450 m2, 18 classrooms and a capacity of 1500 students was built by our Rectorate in a short time; Education started to be provided in the new building in the Fall semester of the 2013-2014 Academic Year. It is aimed to increase the number of students of our Vocational School, which has adopted the principle of training technical intermediate staff in accordance with World Standards, to around 2000 with the new programs to be opened. Students are admitted to the programs of our School, whose education period is 4 semesters (2 years in total), based on their ÖSYS scores. In our Vocational School, we try to provide our students with education at a level that will compete with other universities nationally and internationally, by using all the opportunities of modern education. Graduates of our Vocational School are employed as professional staff in both the public and private sectors.
